Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia sadly announces the passing away of a an astute diplomatic esteemed former chain of the New Patriotic Party [NPP] on his official Facebook page.
He lamented by saying that “My wife Patricia and l, have learnt with profound sadness the passing on into glory, one of the great pillars of our tradition, Haruna Esseku, National Chairman from 2001 to 2005”.
A Founding Member of our great New Patriotic Party [NPP], Chairman Esseku was an astute leader who sacrificed his time and contributed immensely to the course of the tradition.
I fondly remember the diligence and commitment he attached to his work during the times we worked together, in the formative days of the party.
I have missed a good friend and the party has lost a great patriot.
Patricia and l extend our deepest condolences to his wife, children, family, and all NPP members on the demise of this great man.
May the soul of Chairman Esseku Rest In Peace.
