iciHaiti - Contraband : More than 8,000 gallons of fuel seized at the Dominican border
Agents of CECCOM, the Dominican organization specializing in the control of trade in of and goods, intercepted seized more than 8,000 gallons of fuel during various operations carried out in the provinces of Elías Piña, Montecristi and Dajabón.
These interceptions were carried out in collaboration with soldiers from the Specialized Land Border Security Corps (Cesfront), while Haitian citizens were trying to smuggle the fuel into Haiti to resell it on the black market due to the fuel shortage.
