Renewed appeals following fatal weekend collisions

Gardaí have renewed their appeals for information following a number of fatal road traffic collisions in the county over the weekend.

Calls for information are continuing after local woman Mary Whitters Borland, aged in her fifties, was killed in a collision between a car and a lorry in Moville on Friday morning.

The collision happened on the R238 Muff to Moville road at approximately 8am. Anyone with dashcam footage or who witnessed the crash has been asked to contact Gardaí in Buncrana.

Elsewhere appeals are ongoing after 9 year old boy Ronan Wilson, from Kildress in County Tyrone, died in a fatal hit-and-run in Bundoran on Saturday evening.

Gardaí are still appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened on Atlantic Way around 9:20pm.

Anyone with dashcam or cameraphone footage of the incident, or was travelling on Atlantic Way betwen 8:45pm and 9:45pm on Saturday evening, has been asked to contact Gardaí.
