TRS way ahead, KTR tells party leaders
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president and IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would not even secure its deposit in the Huzurnagar byelections while the Congress has nothing to promise to the people.
During a teleconference on the Huzurnagar byelections with the party leaders assigned tasks at various levels, Mr. Rama Rao said the campaign of the TRS party was way ahead and even the ground situation was totally in favour of the party.
He claimed that 50% of the votes would be cast for the party and the leaders have to ensure that they touch each and every household to keep up the momentum. He said some independents had got poll symbols like truck similar to the car symbol of the party and it was for the cadre to take dummy EVMs to every voter to explain the difference.
Mr. Rama Rao ridiculed TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy’s claim that he would further develop Huzurnagar with Central funds and reminded that Congress was not in power at the Centre. Similarly, BJP was well aware of its strengths and weaknesses and there seems to be some collusion between the two parties, he said.
