‘Coolie Man’ charged for murder

Thirty-four-year-old Kingston resident Errol ‘Coolie Man’ Williams has been charged with several offences, following a shooting incident that left one dead and two injured in Johnson Pen, St Catherine.

According to the police, on March 4, Forty-seven-year old businesswoman Nadine Kelly-Reid, was alongside a number of people on the compound of a manufacturing company, when a car containing armed men drove up.

The men exited the vehicle and opened fire hitting Kelly-Reid and others.

The Police were summoned and all injured persons were transported to hospital where Kelly-Reid was pronounced dead and the two men were treated.

‘Coolie Man’ was arrested on May 18 and charged with murder, shooting with intent, two counts of wounding with intent, and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

His court date is being finalised.
