National Security Minister Dr Horace Chang
Minister of National Security, Dr Horace Chang, says local law enforcement agents are now working with their US counterparts to track down members of the criminal network behind the shipment of ghost guns seized at the Montego Bay Freeport on Friday.
Twenty two firearms and a quantity of ammunition were seized in the operation.
It was later revealed that the weapons were untraceable "ghost guns," which have become the weapon of choice for criminals.
In an interview with Radio Jamaica News, Dr Chang said the government will have to review legislation to ensure that possession of the computer-generated weapon is illegal.
