The Government of the Bahamas has come in for criticism from the opposition over its handling of the collapse of crypto exchange company FTX.
The Shadow Minister for Finance says the country's reputation is under attack and questions whether the government has hired an international PR firm to manage the country's international response to the collapse of FTX.
Attorney General Ryan Pinder, during a national address, said any attempt to lay the entirety of the blame for the FTX debacle on the Bahamas government is a "gross oversimplification of reality."
The opposition says many in the international community are using the fall of FTX to attack the reputation of the Bahamas as a well-regulated financial services jurisdiction.
