Jamaican international Peter Lee Vassell has been sent out on loan to United Soccer League Club Phoenix Rising FC from Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit Los Angeles FC until the end of the season. The 21 year old has only played six games for LAFC and four of the six appearances came from the bench. Vassell was drafted by LAFC in January as pick number 40 in the second round.
The former Harbour View player now joins his fellow Jamaicans Junior Flemmings, Kevon Lambert and Jason Johnson at the Arizona-based club. Vassell will wear the number eight jersey and is expected to be available for selection for Saturday’s game against Reno 1868 FC. Vassell was a member of Jamaica's squad at the 2019 edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. He has 5 goals in 13 appearances for the Reggae Boyz.
