Lilongwe City Center Rotary Club on Wednesday donated 120 desks to Mphungu Primary School in Area 12, Lilongwe worth K1. 7 million as one way of supporting the education sector in the country.

Speaking after making the donation, the Club’s Director of Public Image, Vanessa Thyolani said education is key to all developments hence the need for concerted efforts to improve through donations and different ways.

Thyolani explained that they donated desks to fulfill their promises made last year when they donated text books to Mphungu School.

“We chose this school because some members of our Club are Alumni. After surveying on problems facing the school and learners, we thought it wise to work on 120 desks.” said Thyolani.
