Two suspected thieves beaten to death in Mzimba

Angry villagers have, in the wee hours of today, beaten to death two people, who were allegedly found with 10 goats stolen around Enhleleni in Mzimba south.

Jenda police Officer-In-Charge Gladwik Mangazi has confirmed the development, saying three suspects escaped but the villagers vented their anger on the two, where one died on the spot, and the other died while on the way to Jenda rural hospital.

Mangazi said they are yet to identify the deceased persons, adding that the incident follows numerous reports of goat theft in the area under Inkosi Mzikubola.

The suspects are said to have been using two vehicles a Toyota Sienta and an a Nissan X – trail vehicle which have been damaged by the angry villagers.
