Four suicides in three days

A man (72) took his own life at Okondjatu on Friday.

He has been identified as Julius Hengombe. No suicide note was left behind.

According to family members, Hengombe was left home alone at the time, noted a recent police report.

His next of kin have been informed and police investigations continue.

At Swakopmund on Friday, a man (22) was stabbed to death by a 19 year old man.

The police said the deceased, Imms Hermanus Ganaseb, was allegedly stabbed several times.

The suspect ran away from the scene, however, was arrested the following day.

“The reason is yet to be established. Ganaseb’s body was taken to Swakopmund state hospital mortuary for death certification and storage. The next of kin were informed. Police investigations continue.”

On Saturday, a man (35) took his own life at Karasburg.

He has been identified as Milner Servantus Frederick. No suicide note was found on the scene, and his next of kin have been informed. Police investigations continue.

At Rundu, a woman (26) also took her own life on Saturday.

According to the police the deceased, Ndara Eveline Mbava, left no suicide note.

Her next of kin were informed and police investigation continues.

In the Zambezi region, a teen boy (16) allegedly raped a girl (3) on Saturday at the Mafuta compound.

“The suspect is known but not yet arrested. Police investigations continue,” said the police.

At Rehoboth on Sunday, Eugene Jacques Izaaks (41) also died by suicide.

According to the police report, it is alleged that Izaaks was arguing with his wife before he ended his life.

“No suicide note was found. His next of kin have been informed,” read the report.
