Momentum Namibia hosts highly anticipated Womentum event

RECENTLY returned from summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, broadcaster Laimi Elago and transformational coach and explorer Saray Khumalo are gearing up to address attendees to Momentum Namibia’s upcoming Womentum event.

Elago, the only Namibian among 21 other women from around the world, joined Khumalo, who is the first black African woman to summit Mount Everest, for the ascent of Africa’s highest mountain on South Africa’s Women’s Day, 9 August.

Elago and Khumalo’s journey was about more than just another ascent, however, as it aligns with the broader mission of raising funds for the education of African children through setting up digital libraries at school.

This initiative includes a mobile iPad lab for accessibility and security, 10 iPads, a digital library with curriculum aligned content and full library inclusion for all, as well as pupils with disabilities, monitoring and evaluation, teacher training and mentoring support for one year.

Womentum is due to take place on Saturday, 9 September at Droombos, and promises to be a source of “inspiration, empowerment, and a touch of luxury”, according to Denille Roostee, group executive of marketing at Momentum Metropolitan Group.

In addition to Elago and Khumalo, the panel of speakers also includes executive, business and transformational coach Estelle Tjipuka, Ronel de Beer, Carina Bruwer, author and international trade expert Stacey Susa-Pinto and marketing manager Desere Muller.

“These women have truly embodied the campaign’s tagline, making moves and owning their success,” said Roostee in a recent press release.

Featuring motivational talks and engaging entertainment, as a special token of appreciation, each guest will receive a Womentum gift box as a memento.

Tickets for the event are on sale at at N$500 each, inclusive of a sumptuous breakfast.

“The Womentum event is not just another gathering; it’s a uniquely designed experience that aligns deeply with the empowering and transformational messages championed by remarkable women like Saray Khumalo and Laimi Elago.

“Our goal is to create an environment where every attendee leaves feeling inspired to conquer their own personal mountains,” said Roostee.
