Woman kills ex-boyfriend at Omaruru

A woman (32) was arrested after she allegedly killed her ex-boyfriend (34) at Sonskyn, Omaruru, on Friday.

According to the police’s regional commander for community affairs in Erongo, Ileni Shapumba, the man was killed after he allegedly attempted to assault his ex-girlfriend twice.

The incident occurred at around 22h45.

“It was alleged that the ex-boyfriend was violent and came to the suspect’s room and started assaulting her. When she tried to push him out of the room, he allegedly forced himself into the room and assaulted her again,” Shapumba said.

The deceased was stabbed in the neck and died at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed.

The couple had a child together but were not living in the same house, says Shapumba.

The suspect will appear in court at Omaruru on Monday.
Police investigations continue.
