Musk backs Trump at Pennsylvania rally, urges early voting

Elon Musk the billionaire entrepreneur‚ held his debut solo event backing Donald Trump for president in Folsom Pennsylvania (roughly a year ago). The gathering‚ organized by America PAC took place at Ridley High Schools auditorium and aimed to motivate early voting in this key battleground state.

Musk‚ donning his usual casual attire spoke for about 15 minutes in front of a big US flag before taking questions from the audience (many wearing MAGA hats). He stressed the importance of registering to vote and casting ballots early; however some attendees shouted “Why?“ questioning this approach.

The tech mogul born in South Africa emphasized upholding the US Constitution and pestering friends and family to register. When asked to explain early voting in Pennsylvania Musk got sidetracked by fan interactions; eventually he simply said people should vote immediately.

Some attendees like John and Linda Bird expressed concerns about voting system integrity. John planned to vote on Election Day while Linda worried about potential issues preventing them from voting on 11/5/24.

Musk sarcastically mentioned Dominion voting machines used in Pennsylvania and Arizona: two battleground states won by Biden in 2020. However Dominion clarified its machines arenʼt used in Philadelphia and emphasized their systems rely on verified paper ballots.

The event livestreamed on X (formerly Twitter) drew hundreds of thousands of viewers despite technical glitches. Musks America PAC has committed over $70 million to help Trump and other Republicans win in the upcoming election
