North Korea slams new sanctions team, denies troop deployment to Russia

North Koreas top diplomat has lashed out at a fresh sanctions monitoring group‚ branding it as completely against the law and not legitimate. The group (set up by the US‚ South Korea and Japan) came to be after Russia and China put a stop to UN monitoring efforts

The monitoring team was put together after Russia said no to keeping the UN expert panel going in March – China didnt vote either way. This panel had been looking after sanctions for about 15 years‚ trying to slow down North Koreas nuclear and missile work.

Choe Son Hui‚ North Koreas foreign minister‚ didnt hold back. She said through the state news that those who are trying to make North Korea look bad “will have to pay a dear price for it“. Choe also said the team which eight other countries will join‚ is the US messing with world order and stepping all over North Koreas right to do its own thing

The forces involved in the smear campaign against the DPRK will have to pay a dear price for it

The US and South Korea have been saying North Korea and Russia are getting pretty close in terms of military stuff. South Koreas spy folks said on 10/18/24 that North Korea sent 1‚500 special soldiers to Russias Far East to train and get used to things at the army bases there. They think these troops might end up fighting in Ukraine

Lloyd Austin‚ the US defense chief‚ said he couldnt say for sure if North Korea really sent troops to Russia – maybe to fight in Ukraine. But he did say that if its true‚ its not good news
