Ukraine claims North Korea sends troops to aid Russia in conflict

Around a year ago Volodymyr Zelenskiy Ukraines president made a bold claim: North Korea was sending officers to help Russia in its war effort. He didnt stop there stating that Pyongyang was getting ready to deploy 10000 soldiers to fight against Ukraine calling it a “first step to the World War“

However Mark Rutte NATOs chief‚ wasnt so sure. He said “we have no evidence that North Korean soldiers are involved in the fight“. But he did confirm that North Korea was helping Russia in other ways like giving weapons tech stuff and new ideas for the war

The West has been saying for a while that North Korea is sending weapons to Russia. Now Ukraine wants its friends to do something about this help from North Korea. They want new rules to make Pyongyang even more alone in the world

Ukraine and the West say Russia has lost a lot of people in this war - hundreds of thousands killed or hurt. Ukraineʼs losses are kept secret but they say theyre smaller. In the last year or so Russia has moved forward a bit in eastern Ukraine

We have information from our intelligence that ... some officers of the North Korean army are already on Ukrainian territory temporarily occupied by the Russian enemies

Zelenskiy stated

Ukraines leader thinks Russia needs more people because itʼs lost so many. The White House said if North Korea really is sending troops it would mean Russia and North Korea are getting much closer in their defense stuff

This whole thing shows how the war in Ukraine is getting more complicated with other countries getting involved. Its not just about Ukraine and Russia anymore - now were talking about North Korea too. This could make the war last longer and be harder to end
