Tradocracy: An alternative and better system of gov-ernment to democracy is written by Odion Johnbosco Obumese, a medical scientist and author of several other books.
He defines Tradocracy as a four-arm system of government meant for the well-being and progress of the people. The system is conceived to have a sovereign electoral commission and department of morality.
The author argues it is wrong to make the law profession (the Judiciary) an arm of government in democracy in exclusion of all other professions. All professions are equal in functions and mandates. The law profession cannot exist without books, buildings (court buildings) electronics, clothes and others. This means that other professions also contribute to governance.
In tradocracy, every profession is an arm of government – the ‘researchure’. Tradocracy became necessary in order to address all the ills in democracy. Tradocracy is structured into four arms; the Executive, the Researchure, the Legislative, and the Judiciary.
The Researchure is the new arm of the proposed system. Its primary function is the harmonization of professions. It is not involved in executive functions, legislative functions, or in judicial functions. The Researchure is a body of professions.
A representative of the house of researchure represents professions, not a senatorial district or local government council. The representatives, known as researchurers, are sent from the house of researchure to the establishments they are so trained for, and to be involved in research monitoring, daily activities of a work place, and work process.
For example, a medical doctor (researchurer) is sent to a hospital for research, monitoring of work process and methodology of work process in the hospital. The researchurer reports finding, writes down new research and findings of the establishment.
The representative of the house of researchure (Researchurer) then spends three weeks in the field and a week in the house of researchure for deliberation and appraisal of his research and findings for approval by house of researchure. When the research and findings are approved, it becomes binding on the establishment the researchurer (representative) was sent.
This action will improve the economy of nation and stimulate industrial growth. In Tradocracy, all arms of government are fully independent. All arms of government will have an independent police forces like the Parliamentary Police Force controlled by Senate President, the Judicial Police Force controlled by the Chief Justice of the Federation, and the Researchure Police Force controlled by Head of Researchure called Oniha. All arms of government shall be financially autonomous in tradocracy.
The Electoral Commission in Tradocracy will be sovereign because the members will not be appointed by government. Government shall not finance electoral commission. It will not police elections or the electoral processes. The Electoral Commission is financed through electoral taxation and special grants.
The Electoral Legislative Assembly makes laws for the electoral commission only, not by the parliament. Also Electoral Monitory Guard polices election and electoral processes. The Police Force and other security agencies are not allowed to police elections in tradocracy. The Electoral Legislative Assembly and the Electoral Monitory Guard are autonomous units of the electoral commission. The tradocracy system rules out rigging of elections and prevents electoral manipulation and pseudo politics.
