Body found in Bhojpur community forest

BHOJPUR: A body has been discovered in a community forest located in Bhojpur Municipality-10 in the district.

According to Police Inspector Pandav Rajbanshi at Bhojpur District Police Office, the body was discovered in a putrefying state in Farmeli Community Forest at around 2:00 pm on Friday. After locals reported of the discovery, a team of police from Suntale-based temporary police post reached the site.

The deceased has been identified as Ram Kumar Rai, 56, of Jimigaun in Bhojpur Municipality-10, informed Inspector Ranbanshi. Rai had been missing since July 7.

Police have indicated that Rai was suffering from psychological issues and had a history of disappearing time and again. His body was found about 10 kilometres north of the district headquarters.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
