ANZ opens Waigani corporate centre

The bank sold its retail, small and medium enterprises and commercial banking businesses to Kina Bank earlier this year.

The National newspaper reported that ANZ country head Mark Baker said Waigani would be one of three new corporate centres to open, followed by Lae also in August and Goroka in March next year.

The new corporate centres would feature secure deposit facilities, cash and counter services, secure parking and private meeting spaces.

Under the network extension partnership agreement signed by ANZ and Kina, institutional and large corporate customers outside of the new corporate centre location would be able to use Kina branches for cash withdrawals, as well as cash and cheque deposits.
