Talita making the strides for a Kumul call-up

Wynnum Manly Seagulls center Stanford Talita appeared to be one of the inform players lately at the back end of the season this year, producing some convincing performances to retain the jumper in another finals game this weekend.

Seagulls will play the Burleigh Bears this Saturday while Brisbane Tigers to take on Nixon-Putt inspired side Central Queensland Caprass, where the winners of the both clashes advances to the Queensland Hostplus Cup competition grand final decider.

After joining the Seagulls last year from Hela Wigmen, Talita was unable to impress head coach Mathew Head which then left the 2019 PNG Kumuls 9s squad member on ice until lately this season.

With Pacific Championships coming up later this year, the strike outside back is eager to claim a spot in the Justin Holbrook’s Kumuls line-up and also play his grand final in Seagulls colour if they can avoid the Bears claws.

Talita was named as a replacement player in the past few games before he got a starting duty lately to make or break for the ultimate grand finale.

The Engan-man was epic last week against the Souths Logan Magpies. Scoring a match winner and also helped the side with his blistering 127meters runs, eight tackle busts and 10-tackles.

Limited to only two-games with two tries under his trot, Talita is counting on every opportunity to earn a call-up in the PMs XIII side or Kumuls which will play later this year.
