Tagumpay na nairaos ang kakatapos na Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) Luzon leg ng National Coaching Certificate Course na nilahukan ng mahigit 100 sa Rizal Memorial Coliseum sa Malate, Manila.
Nasa 112 lalaki at 12 babae ang mga bumahagi sa kaganapan, na ayon kay PNVF president Ramon ‘Tats’ Suzara, ay tugon ng pederasyon sa programa ng International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) na global coaching.
“We didn’t expect the heavy turnout but it goes to show that volleyball is now a major team sport in the country,” ani Suzara Miyerkoles, na sinamahan sa okasyon ng kanyang secretary-general na si Donaldo Caringal.
Kabilang na mga resource speaker at course instructor sina FIVB coaches Sergio Veloso at Jorge Edson Souza de Brito, kapwa Olympians at batikang Brazilian coaches, PNVF auditor at rules and referees commission head Yul Benosa, Arthurd ‘Odjie’ Mamon, Christian Fernandez, Norman Miguel at Karl Chan.
Hinirit ni project director at organizer Oliver Mora na lumobo ang klase pagkaraang tanggapin nila ang mga walk-in buhat sa Vigan City, Puerto Princesa City at Legazpi.
Sina Philippine Sports Commission Comimissioner Matthew ‘Fritz’ Gaston at PNVF treasurer Ricky Palou ang mga nagsara sa kurso kung saan prinemyuhan ni Suzara ang mga lumahok ng libreng ticktets sa Volleyball Nations League Men’s Competition na idaraos sa bansa sa Hulyo 4-9 sa Mall of Asia Arena.
Dumayo ang course sa Dumaguete City para sa ongoing Eastern and Central Visayas Leg na matatapos sa Linggo, kasunod ang Southern Mindanao Leg sa Davao City sa Hunyo 14-18, Western Visayas Leg sa Dumangas (Iloilo) sa June 21-25 at Northern Mindanao Leg sa Cagayan de Oro City sa June 27-July 1.
