MBABANE – The 2023/24 first window registration period will open next week.

This was revealed by Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi ‘Rhoo’ Radebe, in yesterday’s Eswatini Broadcasting and Information Services (EBIS) Sports Show, hosted by Nathi ‘Mdockies’ Hlophe. Radebe revealed that the first registration window of the 2023/24 season would be open as of next week, until October and urged teams to start the registration of players soon to avoid missing the deadline. “It is anticipated that the first window period will be opened on July 31 and will be close on October 6, 2023. This is our first registration window and teams are expected to act soon. Wherever you are, you can send the players’ information than physically coming to Sigwaca,” Radebe said.

He disclosed that EFA, through its Club Licencing office, had been educating teams on the registration of players ahead of the start of the new season. “The second registration window period will be opened on January 8 to February 2, 2024. I must say that these are some of the important dates as we prepare for the start of the season,” he said.

He also reminded clubs that the registration window period would not be extended as it was a directive from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). “This is the reason teams are informed early about the registration so that they can engage the players they want to sign,” he said. Radebe finally revealed that the new season for both the MTN National First Division (NFD) and the Premier Leagues, was expected to start next month, while those from the regions were anticipated to commence in September.
