Watch: Conservative leadership hopefuls face off in Channel 4 debate

The Conservative leadership race saw its first televised debate on Sunday evening. Boris Johnson was notably absent and host Krishnan Guru-Murphy pulled no punches in pointing out each candidate's flaws.

He accused Michael Gove of hypocrisy over the Environment Secretary's cocaine confessions.

Dominic Raab was reminded of his jibes about feminists and Sajid Javid was asked why he was left out of Donald Trump's state banquet.

The first section of the debate was dominated by Brexit, with Rory Stewart and Dominic Raab frequently going head to head.

Mr Raab wouldn't rule out suspending Parliament in order to get a no-deal Brexit. Rory Stewart argued that would be "deeply disturbing" and would give Jeremy Corbyn a mandate to do the same.
