Ariana Madix got the last laugh on Tuesday night’s (Sept. 26) premiere of Dancing with the Stars Season 32. The Vanderpump Rules star is being hailed as a “genius” for recreating her iconic “revenge” dress from the hit Bravo show’s Season 10 reunion.
Earlier this year, Madix was the center of the biggest Bravo scandal — or, rather, Scandoval — in history when she discovered Tom Sandoval, her boyfriend of nine years, had a months-long affair with their mutual close friend Rachel “Raquel” Leviss. When she confronted them weeks later at the reunion, Madix sported a sexy, red dress similar to the one she wore on her Dancing with the Stars debut.
“I just want to do something that is for me and positive,” Madix said during the premiere, per E! News. “It’s time for me to stand on my own two feet. Feeling like you were a joke to your partner of nine years is devastating, but I want to show other women that you don’t have to let that hold you back.”
She added, “This is going to be a more confident, fun and vibrant version of myself because I don’t need anybody else. I love me.”
Madix and her partner Pasha Pashkov certainly slayed the dance floor with their tango. They ultimately brought in a score of 21, putting them in a second-place tie with singer Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach.
Meanwhile, fans of the show praised Madix — who shared a sneak peek of her outfit on Instagram before the premiere aired — for her costume choice.
“You slayed the dress and the dance floor @arianamadix 🔥🔥❤️❤️💃💋👧🏼,” Real Housewives of New Jersey star Margaret Josephs commented under her post, while Madix’s boyfriend Daniel Wai added, “Killed it tonight 🔥🔥”
Another wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), “I love that Ariana Madix redid her red revenge dress (you know the one) on her #DWTS premiere,” before someone else said, “Ariana wearing the #PumpRules revenge dress on #DWTS is queen shit behavior. Crown her now!”
Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesday nights at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+.
