Arkansas judge found dead at bottom of lake

The body of an Arkansas judge was found Sunday morning at the bottom of a lake about 70 miles east of Little Rock. it was done. Local authorities searched for most of the previous night.

Police say officials used sidescan sonar technology to survey the lake with a boat . "They temporarily suspended their search early Sunday morning due to 'poor visibility' and continued their search for Buker until they resumed their search after sunrise.

Sonar systems detected Booker's body at the bottom of Mud Lake around 9:15 am on Sunday, according to the sheriff's office. Once the body was recovered, agents and investigators, with the help of his friends and family, confirmed Booker's identity. His death is currently being investigated as an accidental drowning, but the sheriff's office said his body will be sent to the state coroner for an autopsy.

Jefferson County Sheriff Lafayette said, "The successful recovery of Judge Buker's body by our lieutenants and the Arkansas Game and Fish and Wildlife Officer has given the Buker family and those who knew him best a sense of closure.
