“Basketball Wives” star Brooke Bailey announced that her daughter Kayla tragically died Sunday. She was 25.
“Forever my baby, Pretty Black aka Kayla Nicole Bailey 💜🕊💔 This is not a goodbye. Mommy will see you soon 🙏🏾,” Brooke wrote alongside a series of photos of her daughter snapped throughout her life.
Brooke also changed her Instagram bio to include a tribute to her late daughter: “FOREVER 💜🕊Kayla Nicole Bailey 3/2/97-9/25/22 #PrettyBlack.”
Kayla’s cause of death is unknown, but there are reports that claim she died from injuries sustained in a car accident. Brooke appeared to confirm the cause of death by reposting an article about Kayla’s accident; however, the official cause and manner of death hasn’t been released.
Brooke’s friends, family and followers flooded her the announcement with their condolences as soon as she shared the news.

The reality star, 45, thanked everyone for their outpouring of support, writing on her Instagram Story, “Thank you for LOVING my baby girl. Thank you [broken-heart emoji].”
