A suspected intruder in a California house detained an elderly couple tied up with a belt and threatened to shoot an infant: police

Four suspected burglaries related to a series of burglaries in Northern California. One detained and assaulted the old couple, and the other threatened to shoot the baby. Authorities said they had been arrested. 

On Thursday, San Jose police said three men and one minor had been detained. They were identified as Armand Manzano and Daniel Mendez, both 19 years old. Eduardo Santiago, 23; unnamed 17 years old. 

Manzano was arrested two days before a single robberyon unrelated charges, police said. 

"We are frustrated," Sergeant San Jose. Christian Camarillo told Fox San Francisco. "The suspect needs to remain in custody. A higher bail is needed." 

Other suspects have been searched by police in connection with the burglary.

On May 31, five to six suspects tied an old couple with a belt. , The first robbery occurred when swinging around. Police said they attacked them "violently" with pistols. Some of the stolen items included bank cards, jewelry, and victims' cars.

After a while, the suspect went to another house, where he shot a man and a 15-month-old baby. 

"The suspect threatened to shoot the child, kidnapped the victim, sent him to a bank and demanded that he withdraw money from his account," a police news release said. 

They returned the victim to his home and brought a bank card and jewels. They were seen on security footage escaping from the scene and when the victim's wife returned home. 

In the thirdhome robbery on June 7, police said two suspects had shot and assaulted an old couple. One of the victims was able to contact police, and two suspects were arrested when they fled their homes, officials said.

They were identified as Manzano and Mendes. Investigators later identified Santiago and the boy as suspects. Manzano was arrested on June 5 on unrelated charges and released the next day from police detention.
