Chandler Parsons clowns LeBron James for massive referee tantrum

Chandler Parsons thinks LeBron James went way too far in his tantrum against the refs.

The ensemble on FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back” was discussing the play in which James appeared to be hacked by Jayson Tatum in the closing seconds of Lakers-Celtics on Saturday night. No foul was called and James threw a massive fit.

“I could watch my French bulldog get ran over by the mailman right now, and I would not react like that. I swear to God,” Parsons said. “That was one of the crazier reactions.”

The Celtics ultimately won, 125-121 in overtime.

Parsons nonetheless turned it into a compliment to James, who is this passionate about a regular season outcome in his 20th year in the NBA.

“But it’s so impressive that he cares that much on a regular season game that he’s doing that,” Parsons said.

After the game, James felt singled out.

“I don’t understand. I don’t understand what we’re doing, and I watch basketball every single day,” he said. “I watch games every single day and I don’t see it happening to nobody else. It’s just weird.”

NBA officials admitted they botched the call, and issued a statement about how the “play will weigh heavily and cause sleepless nights as we strive to be the best referees we can be.”

James and the Lakers are in stark danger of missing the postseason for a second consecutive season. The loss against the Celtics dropped them to 23-27, and they are the 13th seed in the Western Conference.

The Lakers play in Brooklyn Monday night, but have already announced that James and Anthony Davis will be sitting out the game.
