Cheney releases audio of concession call refuting Hudgeman's allegations

Rep Liz Cheney said Thursday that she only received a "two-second message" from the incumbent who beat after Wyoming's Republican primary. has released the audio of the concession call it made to refute Harriet Hageman's claims.

Yes, it was the end of the call," Hageman replied. "That was the only time. Last night around 8:15, I was getting ready to go on stage for the  acceptance speech, but I didn't get a chance to meet her."

However, a voicemail transcript provided by Cheney to Politico refutes that claim.

"Hey Harriet, I got a call from Liz Cheney." I heard it in “At about 8:13 on Tuesday the 16th, I am calling to acknowledge the election and congratulate you on winning. and received a voicemail from Cheney saying "Howdy Harriet" followed by approximately 10 seconds of silence before the call ended. later.

Cheney, who lost her to Trump-backed Hagemann by more than 35 percent, later tried to reach out to Politico for her challenger three times, but she eventually sent a voicemail. She said she left and then went out for her concession speech. 

She said she had not heard from Hageman.
