Dwyane Wade trolled for his NBA Finals Game 3 outfit : ‘Grandma’s sweater’

The Heat’s performance in Game 3 of the NBA Finals was not the only flop at the Kaseya Center in Miami last night — Dwyane Wade’s fashion choice lacked a winning touch, too.

Wade decided to wear a sweater courtside, and NBA Twitter promptly roasted him for the choice.

The Heat legend, whose No. 3 hangs in the rafters, sported the white and blue collared crocheted sweater while watching his former team fall, 109-94, to the Nuggets.

Whatever fashion statement the former star was trying to make, Twitter was not having any of it.

The running joke on social media quickly became that someone’s grandmother had made Wade’s Game 3 garb.

“How’d Dwyane Wade get my grandma’s sweater?” one sarcastically asked.

Another user took the joke further, saying, “Still convinced Dwayne Wade stole my grandmothers old coasters to make his shirt.”

The Heat, who now trail 2-1 in the series, were caught in the social media fray as well.

“The Miami Heat played as soft as Dwayne Wade’s sweater,” another user joked

Wade’s made plenty of fashion statements over the years, including at this year’s Met Gala, which he attended with his wife, Gabrielle Union.

Wade went with an all-black look with a blazer that night, in contrast with the white sweater that he was ripped for Wednesday night.

But the former guard seemed to take it all in stride and even poked fun at himself on his Instagram account.

Wade posted a collage of photos of himself donning the sweater on his story and added the text, “My grandma [knitted] sweater,” with a fire emoji.

But in the end, Wade is likely most remembered for the Heat jersey he wore in 15 of his 16 seasons in the NBA.

Miami maybe could’ve used some help from Wade — a three-time NBA Finals champion and 2006 finals MVP — on the court as it slipped in the second half and could not overcome the heroics of Nikola Jokic, who finished with 32 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists in a memorable triple-double performance.
