Greta Gerwig is pregnant with baby No. 2!
The “Barbie” director revealed the news of her and Noah Baumbach’s expanding family during an interview with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, saying, “I am with child.”
Gerwig, 39, noted that she actually debuted her bump last month.
“I went to an event recently, and I wore something, and I thought everyone would be so interested that I was having another child, and nobody cared,” the Oscar nominee recalled. “It didn’t get reported on.”
She joked, “Turns out nobody’s paying attention.”

Gerwig, who showcased her budding belly in a striped dress during the “Tonight Show” appearance, went on to share her son Harold’s reaction to the news.
“It’s hard to know what a 3-year-old makes of things that aren’t existent yet in front of him,” the screenwriter explained.
The Golden Globe nominee has been with Baumbach, 53, since 2011, and they kept their first pregnancy under wraps.
The couple announced Harold’s arrival in March 2019 with a statement simply reading, “We can confirm that Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach have welcomed their first child together.”
Gerwig and the filmmaker have also remained similarly tight-lipped about their possible relationship status.
In January 2020, Gerwig made headlines when she referred to Baumbach as her “fiancé” at the Golden Globes.
The “White Noise” star joked to James Corden that same month that she struggles over what to call her partner.
“‘Boyfriend’ makes it sound like I just met him last week,” she said. “‘Lover’ is disgusting. And ‘fiancé’ makes it sound like there’s an imminent wedding. So none of it works.”
Baumbach was previously married to Jennifer Jason Leigh from 2005 to 2013, and he shares son Rohmer, 12, with the actress.
