Hailey Bieber insists there’s a “truth” behind how she and now-husband Justin Bieber came to be — and it doesn’t involve Selena Gomez.
The model appears on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast this week and addresses the claims that she “stole” the “Peaches” crooner from the “Only Murders in the Building” star.
“Were you ever with Justin romantically at the same time as [Gomez]?” host Alex Cooper asks her in a preview clip.
“This is so crazy I’ve literally never talked about this ever,” Hailey responds. “A lot of the perpetuation and the hate comes from ‘Oh, you stole him.’
“It’s about people knowing the truth. Because there’s a truth.”
While Hailey, 25, hasn’t ever publicly discussed in detail the drama surrounding her courtship with Justin, 28, she has provided insight into how the “hate” has affected her over the years.
“Enough time has gone by,” Hailey said in April, appearing to reference how long it’s been since Gomez and Bieber parted ways. (They permanently split in 2018 just a couple of months before Justin proposed to Hailey).
“I’m minding my business. I don’t do anything, I don’t say anything. Leave me alone, please,” she continued, noting that it was “valid” to leave her alone because so much time had passed.
“I beg of you. Truly. That’s my only request. Be miserable somewhere else, please.”
A year prior, Hailey arrived at the Met Gala where “Jelena” fans taunted her with “Selena” chants.
