How to read Prince Harry’s explosive memoir ‘Spare’ for free

You won’t need spare change to purchase Prince Harry’s explosive forthcoming memoir, “Spare,” which is heavily discounted this holiday season.

The 38-year-old estranged royal’s story, set to hit bookshelves Jan. 10, is available for free Black Friday with a free trial of Amazon’s audiobook service, Audible.

Meanwhile, the hardcover version of the book has been discounted for presale at $23.12, rather than its normal $36 price tag. The large-print paperback version is slightly less discounted at $34.20, down from $38.

Harry’s much-anticipated tell-all is 416 pages and translated into 16 languages. Rumored to explore the ginger royal’s bad blood with brother Prince William, it will also reportedly discuss his and Meghan Markle‘s controversial decision to leave the royal family in 2020.

Even the title “Spare” sparked rumors and speculation it refers to Harry’s lifelong role as the “spare” heir to William.

According to royal author Richard Fitzwilliams, the title is “sensational” and “implies that [Harry] was not valued or … that he did not feel at the center of events.”

Fitzwilliams previously told the Daily Mail that Harry’s relatives are “hugely nervous” about the book.

“The consequences of this will be far-reaching and may be highly destructive,” Fitzwilliams told the outlet.

“There will undoubtedly be interviews, serialization and endless speculation about this memoir,” he continued, adding that he thinks the father of two “should have waited many years” to share his story.

The royal expert said the memoir has Buckingham Palace “very concerned, especially since these are the early months of King Charles’ reign.”
