A man was pronounced dead on the scene after Houston police found him suffering from a single gunshot wound around 11 p.m. Wednesday night. The incident happened at a duplex-type apartment complex in the 8100 block of Bangle Street.
According to Houston Police Department Lieutenant R. Wilkins, a friend of the victim reported arriving home and encountering a 29-year-old man who lives in the complex "saying some things he was concerned about."

The witness said he went back inside his room and locked the door, before hearing a commotion outside.
When he went to see what he was happening, he witnessed his friend outside with the unknown man, who was now "hostile and agitated."
The alleged suspect followed the witness and his friend inside an area and pistol whipped the victim.
The witness then went back into his apartment and heard a gunshot shortly after.
When he went to see what happened, he saw his friend shot and lying on the ground.
Authorities are now searching for the unidentified suspect who they believe left the scene.
