Jurors hear audio of Nxivm leader Keith Raniere planning branding ritual

Keith Raniere was caught on tape planning the grotesque branding ritual he ordered performed on his female slaves, prosecutors say.

The audio was played during the accused sex-cult leader’s federal trial in Brooklyn on Tuesday and features Raniere and his harem discussing the design — which is comprised of his initials — as well as logistics of their secret master-slave group, DOS.

“I don’t think you should be branded tomorrow,” he tells his first-line slaves during the pow-wow, which took place June 12, 2016.

Raniere, 58, is accused of heading the secret group, in which women were scarred with his initials in their pubic region and ordered to have sex with him.

“Here, give me your hip,” the Nxivm leader says to “Battlestar Galactica” actress and DOS slave Nicki Clyne as the gaggle discusses the size and location of the brand. “You’re small, tiny.”

The group agreed the mark should be about the size of the quarter, and discussed various spots it could go — including the hip bone, the arm pit, and the small of the back. They also discussed tattooing the skin over the brand, in order to mark the “lineage” of a slave as the group grew.

“Another option would be below the nipple,” slave Rosa Laura Junco suggests.

“I guess you can do that that, tattooed breasts, yeah. I’ve seen that,” Raniere responds.

The so-called “Grandmaster” devoted much of the meeting discussing whether the DOS slaves should have specialties and whether their identities should be kept secret to others in the group — inserting sex wherever he could.

“If you do one of those ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ type of masking thing, you could still figure out who they are,” he said while arguing against members being aware of their “slave sisters.”
