Mike Trout's slump worsens and Astros strikes out 20 to wipe out the Angels

Mike Trout rang again on a weekend full of strikeouts, seeing low sinkers grabbing the outer corners of the strike zone three Sundays.

Before returning to the bargain, he looked like he was screaming: Yikes.

The Angels star hit 9 strikeouts in the 3-game series, 0 at 11, and the Houston Astros won the sweep 4-2, resulting in a total of 20 Los Angeles batters on Sunday. I got a fan once.

Team catching coach Haselman was Ray Montgomery's interim manager for the Angels on Sunday. Is acting as interim manager, and interim manager Phil Nevin acted as a suspension for the fight with the Mariners last week. Haselman will also manage Tuesday's game while Montgomery offers a second game of his suspension.

Sunday was the sixth game of Nevin's 10-game suspension.

Trainers Room

Astros: LHP Parkerm Sinsky (elbow discomfort) practiced live batting on Sunday. Dusty Baker said he felt good after he threw 24 balls, but it's not yet decided what the next step will be for him.

Move roster

Angels chooses 2B Michael Stephanic contract from Triple A Salt Lake and designates INF / OF Tyler Wade for assignment Did. Stephanic made his major league debut with three strikeouts to 0-3 and was replaced by Andrew Velazquez in the bottom of the sixth inning.
