Nick Gordon’s girlfriend wants the judge in his assault case to know it was all her fault.
Laura Leal has reportedly filed documents in Seminole County, Fla., that include a letter asking the judge to lift the no-contact order set against Gordon. In the correspondence Leal says she needs his love and guidance and wants to speak to her boyfriend again.
The letter, which was obtained by TMZ, also says the case against Gordon is inaccurate, particularly in regards to her alleged injuries on the night of his arrest.
She writes, “Pictures were taken of my face the night of the incident because cops stated my lip was ‘bleeding’ when in all reality my lips were chapped and dry … There was no marks on my face.”
Leal admits that she suffers from severe anger issues and insists the whole incident was a misunderstanding that has unfairly villainized an innocent man.
“I am seeking help and determined to take the condition seriously as I have been diagnosed bipolar,” she writes. “He is not at blame, and should not be pushed into any trouble or consequences due to my actions.”
Something to it
Her account lines up with Gordon’s version of events when he phoned 911. On the call he sounded frantic and distressed as he told the operator he “sounds so lame because I’m getting beat up by a woman.”
