She’s still the one.
Shania Twain brought her career full circle for the People’s Choice Awards 2022 on Monday night, hitting the red carpet in an updated — and even sexier — take on her iconic leopard-print look from the 1998 “That Don’t Impress Me Much” music video.
The star, 57, wore a custom Rodarte dress featuring (of course) a hood, but also sheer sleeves and a matching peekaboo panel that showed off her abs and flowed into a black velvet skirt.
Peeking out of her animal-spotted hood was a shock of bubblegum-pink hair, presumably a nod to her beauty look from her latest music video for “Waking Up Dreaming.”
E! News correspondent Zanna Roberts Rassi said she talked to Twain’s stylist, who told her the singer’s inspiration for the evening: “I’m all for the drama, I can only do this once and I’m going for it tonight.”
And go for it she did, with fans much impressed.
“Shania Twain has arrived, everyone else can go home now,” one person tweeted. “SHANIA TWAIN GOOD F—KIN GOD,” another said.
Twain will receive this year’s Music Icon Award and will also take the stage at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., to perform a medley of her greatest hits along with some of her new music.
And Rassi also revealed on-air that the Canadian star will change for into a bold Diesel look for her performance.
Lauren Spencer-Smith will also perform at the awards show, while Lizzo is set to receive the People’s Champion Award and Ryan Reynolds will be honored with the People’s Icon Award.
Among the night’s nominees is Brad Pitt, who is up for Best Male Movie Star for his role in “Bullet Train.”
Perhaps the star will make an appearance — or at least be impressed by Shania’s performance.
