We should celebrate the victory of the Supreme Court's abortion, but the work has just begun

The entire Jackson Women's Health case at the U.S. Supreme Court requires abortion to help women realize their dreams, have the careers they want, and get whatever they want to get out of life. It was based on the argument. .. A lawyer claiming an abortion clinic reiterated this point during the cross-examination in an attempt to shake the judge that a woman needs to deny her fertility in order to succeed. Today, the court is completely alive to see that premise and the legal, ethical, and morally sneaky cases of the Roe v. Wade case overturned, seeing it happen. I refused.

This is a long-awaited decision for the pro-life people, and I am very humbled to have been able to participate in the battle for the past 13 years after leaving the planned parent-child relationship. increase. In the oral argument last December, I was deeply aware that I was on the other side of the fence that stood in front of the Supreme Court a while ago. I yelled at the pro-life people and shouted all sorts of sneaky and horrifying things. I was the one who had the sign of abortion. I was the one who persuaded the women in the Planned Parenthood that they weren't strong enough to have a baby and needed an abortion to succeed.

I cried that day, so when it was time to speak in front of the courtroom at the pro-life rally, I removed the script. I publicly apologized for telling the woman that she needed an abortion for lying to her with some sort of false empowerment. The weight of my time as a director of the Planned Parenthood Clinic in Texas can be very heavy.

The Supreme Court overturns the Roe v. Wade case

But today is a victory. It means that the entire professional life movement has been working for nearly 50 years. The problem is — Our work is not over. In many respects, it's just getting started. There will still be women who want an abortion. There will still bewomen who will be hurt by abortion, just as they are in legal abortion clinics now. There will still be abortion workers desperate to find and leave a cruel, non-cruel job in the clinic's lab to replace baby parts.

Much of the news in recent months shows that the majority of Americans want Roe to stand. Focusing on polling. Still, the vast majority of Americans have never worked in an abortion clinic and have never directly seen the complete destruction that the physical act of abortion causes to the fetus and mother, but shortly after the decision of the woman.

The abortion clinic's recovery room is probably the saddest place on earth. Many former abortion workers who quit their jobs did so because of what they saw in the recovery room. A crying woman, aheavily bleeding woman, avaguely looking forward, a completely lost woman. Women aren't worthy of it, but Jackson Women's Health argues that it's the most empowering for women.

So what's next? A lot of work. Now the abortion decision returns to the state. In the state, more than half have already banned abortions by previous triggers or similar legislation. The media is saturated with talks about abortion funds, women traveling hundreds of miles for abortion, and how underground networks are preparing to give women access to abortion no matter what. doing. But that's just one side of the story.

Abortion Center,More than the number of abortion clinics, targeted by abortion advocates and ready to help women in need. Labrain, my own ministry, sees a huge number of calls to her hotline and sees hundreds of women with specific needs such as rent, childcare costs, car payments, clothes, food, etc. And helped the children. Since January of this year, we have rapidly increased our staff and distributed over $ 236,000 to baby registries, diapers, clothing and hygiene products. Besides abortion, there are other options for women, and many are willing to help.

The battle for abortion is still out It's not over. There is nothing more to fight than the lives of innocent people and the lives that abortion suffers and harms in the process. That's just the definition of evil, and I believe that's why the tension is so high. The battle between good and evil is unfolding in front of us. I've been on the other side of the battle for years. Now I fight for good.
