Taylor Swift's new song "Carolina" is based on Delia Owens' novel "Where the Crawdads Sing".

Taylor Swiftgave fans a pleasant surprise on Thursday.

Swift, 32, has released her new song "Carolina" based on Delia Owens' novel "Where the Crawdads Sing".

The award-winning novel will be made into a movie and will be released on July 15th. "Carolina" has appeared in the movie, and this release will be the first single since Swift's 2020 album "Evermore".

Swift wrote and played "Carolina" in "Where the Crawdads Sing" released on July 15th.
