On Wednesday, June 29, after a heavy rain the night before, the streets of the Colombian city of Soacha were flooded with toxic and stinky foam clouds. ..
The footage shows Soacha's inhabitants waking up in a cloud of bubbles sweeping at least 30 homes as firefighters spray water to disperse the clouds. Authorities have not yet notified the affected population of the final tally.
Resident William Sanchez found the kitchen full of bubbles for fear of the house collapsing. "Honestly, this (house) can collapse at any time and I have to sleep under the bridge. I'm unemployed because I'm disabled."
Local media Reported that the bubbles came from a sewage gully flooded under a downpour.
Soacha's Municipal Risk Management Director, Dayan Caucali, said he plans to conduct a lab analysis to determine if chemicals, waste, or other substances are the cause of the foam. I did.
