Twitter squashes CNN article praising falling gas prices as '$100 monthly price hike'

Friday's CNN Business article sent Twitter into a frenzy. The country's recent gasoline price cut was "a $100 monthly price increase." He argued that people needed to view this in terms of "an unexpected form of economic stimulus" as it fell from a record average high.

"The next time you stop by a gas station, think of it as a $100 a month tax cut. Or maybe a $100 a month raise," he told readers.

Describing the reasons for his joy, he writes: Its average is now down for 67 consecutive days.

Isidore then translated that data into household savings. “A typical U.S. household uses about 90 gallons of gas a month, so a $1.10 price cut equates to a savings of $98.82.”

But President Biden took office. Twitter users who were living off petrol prices well before the move found this to be insulting propaganda.

Congressman Kelly Armstrong, R-N.D. , neutralized the spin in the simplest terms and tweeted. It's now $3.92. @CNN's next arsonist gets a medal for helping put out the fire he started.

Conservative comedian Jeremy McClellan commented, "Every time I rob a gas station, I think the same thing."

"Fuck you. These are people." declared Red State Deputy Editor-in-Chief Kira Davis.

Rebel News co-founder Ezra Levant accused the media and the Democratic Party of being one and the same, commenting "The Media Party."

Brian Riedl, Senior His Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, denounced the network, tweeting: This is next level gaslighting. ''

''CNN is a complete joke,'' he tweeted on his Twitter account for FreedomWorks.

"This is why no one trusts @CNN," wrote the Republican congressional candidate from Troy Nels, Texas.

The Daily Wire's account sarcastically tweeted, "Journalism at its best."

"Gas prices will average $1.50 more per gallon than he did on January 20, 2021. This spin will be reported as an in-kind contribution to the Democrats." It should be done,” retorted America First. Policy Institute Chief His Communications Officer Mark Lotter said:

Ohio Republican Rep. Mike Carey tweeted: Americans still pay much higher gas prices than they should. Unlock America's production, move energy infrastructure faster & and stop penalizing industry with & over-regulation & tax increases!"

Daily Wire reporter Virginia Kurta summarized this propaganda, tweeting: Imagine not only believing you're saving money, but being stupid enough to actively lie for a gaslighter.

"This would make Stalin blush." "Let's go," said Free Beacon writer Drew Holden.

Chris Hartline, his Director of Communications for the National Republican Senate Committee, was in complete disbelief that the article had been published and tweeted: No, it's not shocking at all. ''

And his strategist for Republican Communications, Matt Whitlock, had Isidor imagine his employer, CNN Business. Using similar logic, he states: ''
