Tyler Redick wins the Road America race and wins the NASCAR Cup series for the first time

Tyler Reddick needed a little longer than expected to win theNASCAR Cup Series.

His winning situation was worth the wait.

Redick defeated course defending champion and current point leader Chase Elliott on Sunday in Road America. The victory is the 92nd start of his cup career, which includes five second-place finishes.
