'Vindicators 2' will completely rewrite the fan-favorite 'Rick and Morty' episode

Most ofRick and Mortywhen "Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender" premiered in Season 3 It ended with the same takeout as the episode of. 7}. The episode is Rick's ruthless monster after drunk Rick (Justin Roiland) endangers the fate of the universe with his grandchildren, a band of superheroes, and perhaps traps likeSaw. It's the story presented byVindicators 2, an Adult Swim web series spin-off now available onHBO MaxandAdultSwim. There is none. As a nice and common move in this series,Vindicators 2disappoints and presents a very sad version of this superhero team. This makes Rick more and more fond of letting them die.

The Indicators always had dark edges. In the Season 3 episode, the superhero team was originally announced as a space version of The Avengers, with quizzes and speeches about the goodness of all of us. But as Rick's Drunken Trap progressed, its idyllic façade began to crack. Smooth and cool Vance Maximus (Christian Slater) has appeared as a coward. Million Ants (Tom Kenny), Alan Rails (Lance Reddick), and Supernova (Gillian Jacobs) were part of a twisted love triangle. And the supernova eventually killed her lover and tried to kill the old man and the child as part of his desire to maintain the galaxy's belief in the Bindicators. It's definitely a dark ending, but it also claims that Rick had the worst results with this super-powerful team.

It's not the same argumentVindicators2presents at all. Whether the supernova and Vance Maximus are casually genocide "for great benefit" or the team is accepting medals that they couldn't get, in the 10-episode YouTube series, these heroes are 2-3. Introducing how terrifying the minute chunks are. Quip is there, but land flat in the face of a drunken rampage that ends in an incident, miscarriage, and murder. What was once seen as a crew of defective heroes turns into a giant scammer cult. A sharp take that reflects the spirit of its predecessor.

In essence, Sarah Carbina and Erica Rosbe'sBindikators 2reflect the trap of fame. Raising people to the level of celebrities forces them to fit into a particular pattern. In this type, basic human sins are no longer tolerated. It's the space occupied by the more moral Million Alis and Alan Rails. They seem to want to help others, but they make themselves smaller because of the public eye and the expectations of their teammates. But it's exactly this system that makes nifty manipulators thrive, like supernovae and Vance Maximus. What remains is the disturbing reality that a true villain is lifted as a hero. I was almost relieved to learn that the team was slaughtered by a series of elaborate traps.

When "Vindicators 3" was first released, it stood as a ridiculous spoofing episode about superhero culture. Now the idea is pushed to its darkest limits. For Rick and Mortyfans, theVindicators2is worth a look. Yes, it's unforgettable. But it also reminds me that Super Nova still exists in this world, and she's scary.
