Mpisane, who has only made one appearance in the league this campaign, was missing from the matchday squad.

And when asked about the 21-year-old, Nteo was clear that Mpisane simply failed to make the matchday squad, but lauded the right winger’s hard work in training.

NTEO ON MPISANE’S ABSENCE AGAINST SUPERSPORT

“It was because of team selection – we selected 20 players that we believed will represent the club against SuperSport United,” Nteo said as quoted by TimesLIVE.

“I am not sure if he is registered for CAF competitions, I know about the PSL, but he is doing very well with the boys to be honest. He is pushing himself and the commitment is there.

“He is competing with other players in the team and it’s a matter of time – if he is ready we will put him in. He’s doing well, he is working very hard to push himself and get a place in the team and I am happy with the way he has been training.”

‘HE WILL COME RIGHT’

Nteo went on to express his confidence on Mpisane’s potential to succeed in the Premier Soccer League while he also mentioned that he has to work on his weight.

“We have players that you can say with coaching and more training will improve. There are signs – we see that he will improve with more coaching because there is something he has in terms of playing,” he added

“Give him time, he will come right. He’s got some good passes and he’ll work on his weight. You know wat happens when you gain a little bit of weight but he is doing well and we are happy with his progress.”
