1) SAFA CAN REQUEST A DETAILED EXPLANATION ON THE DECISION
SAFA have ten days from the day the decision was made to request a detailed response outline the reasons for the decision, according to KickOff.
That means they have a week from today to demand this from FIFA in order to see why their appeal was dismissed. This is the first step in Bafana and SA fighting back.

2) LODGING AN OFFICIAL APPEAL AGAINST FIFA’S DECISION
After receiving the reasons for FIFA’s decision, SAFA can appeal the decision.
Lodging a new case against FIFA, namely, an appeal against referee Maguette N’Diaye for potential match-fixing. One thing must be noted here, the main focus of the appeal is for a re-match at a neutral venue as opposed to seeking punishment against the match official.

Although, he must face punishment for his shocking and costly penalty decision, even if they cannot prove match-fixing.
3) BUILDING AN EVEN STRONGER CASE WITH NEW INFORMATION
Perhaps the most important step yet, since it is Bafana Bafana’s last hope.

The new appeal must focus on FIFA’s reasons for their decision and give stronger evidence. This may involve more footage and more concrete proof of any of South Africa’s claims including the spike in the betting and a Ghana official arriving shortly before the match against Bafana.
SAFA CEO Tebogo Motlanthe is focused on a way forward and these are the steps that can be taken.
