LAS VEGAS — Recently, Las Vegas rolled out her carpet red for Martha Her Stewart. To mark the grand opening of her first restaurant The Bedford by Martha Stewart.

Stewart in Paris looks elegant in a flowing yellow gown. Yves Saint Laurent held court amid a gathering of her avid fans, industry insiders and her dear friends. Among them was her best friend, Snoop Dogg, who surprised her when she showed up for her celebration.

Guests enjoy her signature dishes, such as baked oyster Rockefeller topped with Pernod cream, spinach, watercress and parsley crumbs, refreshing red and yellow gazpacho shots, a variety of salads, and a small pile of We were treated with a dessert like this.

Why Las Vegas? asked Stewart. "I love Las Vegas. I actually decorated the Bellagio for Christmas many years ago." "It's been great," he said, partnering with Caesars Entertainment to

And Stewart's new restaurant is a nod to the charm found in her personal home. It's an ode. Her 1925 country farmhouse in Bedford, New York includes an exact replica of her own brown faux-wood dining room. There is not an inch of beautifully detailed restaurant that does not reflect the identity of the legendary lifestyle magnate. Curated by Martha herself and her team, the décor is understated elegance thanks to an understated, neutral color scheme and simple yet elegant furnishings. From the dishes to the glasses to the sconce, to the way some angles of the restaurant give the feeling of looking out into Martha's backyard, the restaurant is a true reflection of her lifestyle.

In fact, if you didn't know better, you'd think she was invited to Stewart's real farmhouse in Bedford, not Las Vegas glitz.

For food, we had Sour Cherry Rosemary Focaccia and warm Parker House rolls with clam and tomato confit. Halibut and corn chowder, peeled and herb breaded whole roast chicken (carved tableside) and, of course, even Big Martha's Pierogis stuffed with potatoes and brown butter are on the menu. You can order it with golden ostra caviar and sour cream. There are also her famous "smashed" baked potatoes.

For dessert, throw it all away for her signature We recommend popping in for the Upside Down Lemon Meringue Pie, a fluffy, sinfully smooth concoction that you'll have to order more to take home.

The next day at a special brunch for a select group of invited guests hosted by Stewart in the main dining room of 196 restaurant, she said she was thrilled to partner with Caesars based on their success in finding the right partner who shares the same vision. "You can't be successful if you can't find people who are like you," Stewart said. That includes her attention to excellence in every section of her restaurant and how important food presentation is.

Martha is pure Martha at this point. court. How tight she is with Snoop. "We've been very close, old friends since he first appeared on my show many years ago, and he just made a brownie," she gushed to a guest's delight. .

And someone asks her who she admires the most. The 81-year-old culinary icon pauses for a moment and softens a little. At age 94, she was as perceptive as ever, she read The New York Times from cover to cover every day,and never complained about anything. She was a schoolteacher who raised her six children. She still meets people who say she was "your mother was my teacher." This means a lot to me. I don't know how many people attended her services when she died. It was shocking. Her outpouring of love and affection was incredible.

What plans does she have for the restaurant's future? 'Wait until you find out what's coming for Christmas,' she smiled. And  know about Martha, it's going to be a legend.
