A mall parking attendant near the scene told The Sun previously the victim, who was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre, had been stabbed in the chest several times.
Police say the suspect — described as a short male with a small build wearing all black clothing, including an Adidas T-shirt underneath his jacket and white shoes — fled east in a black four-door cross-over from Dunlop St.
Investigators are still looking into the motive for the stabbing.
