The proposed strategy involves instructing Palestinian civilians to evacuate northern Gaza, subsequently declaring it a closed military zone. An estimated 5,000 Hamas militants would then be isolated and besieged until they surrender. The potential implementation of this plan comes amidst a severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza, which has been ongoing for nearly two years. The United Nations reports that approximately half of Gaza's population, around one million people, are currently confined to a designated humanitarian zone. This area comprises less than 15% of the territory and lacks essential infrastructure and services.
