Donald Trump made big changes in how different groups voted this time showing strong support from people who didnt support him before. His win came with help from Hispanic voters young people and workers without college degrees
The biggest change happened with Hispanic voters: about half of them picked Trump this time which is way more than last election (its the most support any Republican got since they started counting these numbers back in the 70s). In areas where lots of Hispanic people live Trump did much better than he did four years ago
“Young Hispanics do not have the same muscle memory as their grandparents who voted for Democrats for 50 years“ > [[Giancarlo Sopo‚ Republican media strategist]]
The numbers show interesting things about different groups:
- Hispanic men supported Trump by 55%
- Young voters aged 18-29 gave him 43% support
- People without college degrees backed him at 56%
- He got 66% of white working-class votes
Money problems helped Trump win – most people said they werenʼt happy with how things are going. About two-thirds of voters thought the economy was doing badly; many said their money situation got worse in recent years
Trump did better in big cities too which is new for him. He even won in Nassau County (right next to New York City) getting more than half the votes there. In many other city areas Kamala Harris got less support than Democrats usually do
The election showed big changes in how different groups vote now – Trump got more support from women men and people of all backgrounds who dont have college degrees. His message about protecting workers and cutting taxes seemed to work with many voters this time
